Carpathian golden autumn...
Walks in the colorful autumn scenery
Karpacz and its surrounding area offer many beautiful hiking trails that delight both beginners and experienced hikers. Each of these trails offers not only beautiful views but also the opportunity to connect with nature and spend time actively outdoors, making Karpacz an ideal place for summer hikes, and Green Hill an ideal base for excursions.

beyond the obvious beauty we have anomalies...
The most famous of these is the gravity anomaly point, where the location and terrain cause objects to roll uphill. There is still no shortage of daredevils who try to solve this physical mystery by placing bottles, glass beads, and even “freewheeling” cars on the asphalt.
We invite you to Zielona Góra, where you can visit this and other sites within a stone’s throw.
Bicycle routes
And you don’t have to bring your own bike! Yes, Karpacz offers rentals of various types and classes of bikes.
Ursula Road (2 km) – easy route
Budniki (9 km) – moderate route
Karpacz (13.6 km) – Brzezie Karkonoskie – easy route
Kowary (20 km) – moderate route
Trautenberk (39.6 km) – moderate route
Łomnickie Hill (41 km) moderate route
But that’s not all! For thrill-seekers, we offer “Giants” – a set of trails of varying difficulty, with something for everyone.
Nearby restaurants and bars
Mountain and city hikes tend to work up an appetite, but Karpacz has a remedy for that too. Visit one of the restaurants to satisfy your hunger and thirst, and there’s a wide selection to choose from. Here are a few, reachable in just a few minutes from Zielone Wzgórze:
Kolorowa – 14-minute walk (we recommend the duck)
U Petiego – 19-minute walk (we recommend the ribs)
U Ducha Gór – 39-minute walk (we recommend the pork knuckle)
The Love Wheel and the Wang Temple
The Mill of Love and the Wang Temple are wooden structures worth seeing. Each of these places will bring you much joy, allowing you to admire the mountain climate and incredible architecture. The latter monument, built entirely of wood, is located on the trail leading to Samotnia, Pielgrzymy, and Słonecznik. These are spectacular places in the Karkonosze Mountains at any time of year, so be sure to visit them in autumn, too.
Rock climbing
You’re likely to encounter climbers at Raven Rocks. People passionate about conquering vertical routes gather there to share their passion. This isn’t the only place of its kind in the area – less than a 30-minute drive from Green Hills is another climbing complex – the magnificent Sokoliki.
Exhibitions and museums
The town at the foot of Śnieżka boasts a wealth of exhibitions that would be a credit to much larger cities. Seeing them all in one day would be quite a daunting task, so it’s better to stay longer in Zielone Wzgórze (Green Hill) to see:
Multimedia Museum of the Karkonosze Mountains
Museum of Sports and Tourism
Toy Museum and Railway Hall
Karkonosze Secrets
World of Railways
